Our manuscript entitled “High-Resolution Spinal Motor Mapping Using Thoracic Spinal Cord Stimulation in Patients with Chronic Pain” has been selected as a Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) Spotlight. This study is the first to utilize a newly FDA-approved high-resolution spinal cord stimulation electrode to perform medio-lateral spinal motor mapping in patients with chronic pain.

New Paper is Published in Neurosurgery

Our study, led by Julie G. Pilitsis, M.D., Ph.D., Dean and Vice President of Medical Affairs at Florida Atlantic University’s Schmidt College of Medicine, has been published in the journal Neurosurgery. For the first time, we demonstrated that machine-learning algorithms can predict long-term patient response to spinal cord stimulation placement with relatively high accuracy, marking an important advancement in personalized pain management.
